WHAT IS YOUR PRECIOUS OBJECT?
Does your precious object bring back memories of a particular time, place or person that holds a special meaning for you? Could it be something you've held onto since childhood, or maybe it belonged to a loved one you've lost? Does it remind you of the person you used to be, or someone you wish to become?
EVERY OBJECT HAS ITS STORY
By sharing the story behind your precious object, you could inspire others to ask similar questions of themselves, which may develop a stronger understanding of what is precious to them, while increasing compassion in the community.
WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Each person exhibiting an object in MoPO is invited to sit with the museum's founder and record their description of the object, as well as sharing the story of what the object means to them. When the exhibition launches, museum visitors will be able to scan a QR code, located next to the exhibit, and listen to the recording on Spotify.
EXHIBITION THEMES
Each month, MoPO installs a new community-focused exhibition in the museum, curated around a specific theme. The community is encouraged to submit future theme ideas, which will be voted for on via social media.
COLLABORATE
PERSONAL COLLABORATIONS
These special, time-based exhibitions are displayed in MoPO for shorter periods of time (1 - 7 days), rather than our regular exhibition period (30 days).
Ideas for personal collaborations with MoPO may include:
-
Honouring the memory of someone special who has passed
-
Sharing a public declaration of love for your partner
-
Celebrating a Grandparent's birthday with a personalised exhibition
Please contact the museum below to discuss your idea.
COMMERCIAL COLLABORATIONS
MoPO is not currently considering commercial collaborations.

DONATE
If you are enjoying what Museum of Precious Objects is doing in the community and wish to express your enjoyment financially, we are able to accept donations via direct deposit and PayPal.
Please keep in mind that MoPO is not registered as a not-for-profit organisation, so your donation is not tax deductible. Once the museum has demonstrated community interest and regular engagement, we will apply for not-for-profit status.
